Quick answers about Safarah.
Is Safarah really free?
Yes. There are no ads, no purchases and no subscriptions.
Does it need internet?
No. Once installed, Safarah works fully offline. The app has no internet permission at all.
Why does Android warn me when I install it?
Safarah is installed from a file rather than from Google Play, and Android warns about that for every such app. Only install the file from safarah.app or the official GitHub page, and you can compare its checksum on the download page.
What happens to my data?
It stays on your phone. There are no accounts, and nothing is sent anywhere. Read the privacy page for details.
How does recitation mode work?
When revision mode is enabled, press on the microphone icon on the top and recite aloud, each word is revealed as you say it. Recognition runs on your phone, and Safarah never marks mistakes for you; you stay in control.
Why is the download so large?
It is about 253 MB because it includes the full Mushaf and the speech recognition model, so everything works offline.
Which phones can run it?
Android 7.0 or newer. Safarah is available for Android only at the moment.
